HOPE CARES INITIATIVES
Certified Lay Counseling
Lay counseling is one way that Hope Cares assists people who need hope, care, and direction. We strive to provide guidance, insight, and encouragement based on Biblical principles. In doing so, we are able to attend to the people as it is encouraged to do in Heb. 10:24, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
"Essentials" Resource Center
Hope Cares serves as an essential resource center for those who are suffering from a lack basic necessities such as immediate access to food, clean water, warm clothing, and hygiene products. We believe that every human deserves to have access to the basic necessities that we require to survive. "He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none..." ~ Luke 3:11
After School Care
The Hope Cares afterschool program is a fun, educational, and safe environment that meets the supervision expectations of working parent(s) who want enrichment for their child. This program is specifically designed to offer safe, secure places that children and youth can go to after school and have a snack, focus on their homework, and have some fun leisurely activities planned for them. We look to add quality assistance to the hard working parents who need a village to come alongside them.
Abundant Life Classes
Hope Cares provides curriculum based classes for people of all backgrounds that teach the skills required for individuals to sustain personal success and wellness. These classes include financial literacy, resume building and interview preparation, parenting, anger management, recovery, marriage and pre-marriage, youth etiquette, public speaking, and more. We want to empower the people of Detroit with skills that they will carry with them through every day life.
